The Investing in African Mining Indaba 2027 will take place from 8 to 11 February 2027 in Cape Town (South Africa). Registration is already open on the event's official website.
The must-attend event for African mining
Every year, Mining Indaba brings together governments, mining companies, investors, development banks and technology suppliers. The 2026 edition attracted more than 10,000 delegates and saw the DRC present its priorities: local mineral processing, regulatory stability and new logistics corridors.
For 2027, the organisers are focusing on delivering the partnerships announced: turning commitments into projects that are financed and delivered on the ground.
Key themes to watch
- Local processing and industrialisation around critical minerals (copper, cobalt, lithium);
- Financing of infrastructure and corridors (Lobito, Banana);
- Artificial intelligence, automation and digitalisation of mining operations;
- Safety, ESG and formalisation of artisanal mining.
